Stonewood Group Expands into Canada

Stonewood Canada will be headquarted in Gatineau, Quebec.

Stonewood, the UK’s leading hardware encryption manufacturers has opened an office in Quebec following the successful introduction of its Government approved encrypted hardware to the Canadian market. Stonewood Canada will be headquarted in Gatineau, Quebec.
 
Chris McIntosh, Stonewood Group CEO said: ‘Stonewood’s expansion into Canada is a significant step in bringing the UK’s leading hardware encryption solutions to the North American region. We believe there is a need for a permanent local market presence to further develop the success of our FlagStone range whilst enhancing our routes to market in Canada.’
Luc Gervais has been appointed President of Stonewood Encryption Incorporated (Stonewood Canada). Luc is well respected within the computing technology industry and has 10 years experience in IT security. With a well established client base and a team of encryption technology experts, Stonewood Canada is a natural extension of Stonewood Group.
Stonewood recently introduced the Eclypt range of hardware encryption products. The range includes Eclypt Internal, a direct replacement for the laptop’s standard hard drive; Eclypt Freedom, an external high capacity USB hard drive and Eclypt PICO Freedom, a USB flash drive all of which are designed to secure data at the highest levels. Certified to the Federal Information Processing 140-2 (FIPS 140-2) standard, recognised by the US and Canadian government, and ‘Approved for Use’ by the Communications Security Establishment Canada for securing data at rest.
